Board of Commissioners

Under Chapter 62, Article 11 of the Consolidated Laws of New York State, Niskayuna Fire District #2 is governed by an elected Board of Fire Commissioners.

The Board of Fire Commissioners is the political entity that has direct oversight of the Fire Chief and is responsible for equipping and training the members of Niskayuna Fire District #2 that provide fire protection and first response emergency medical care.

The Board of Fire Commissioners is led by a Chairperson and consists of five Commissioners (including the Chairperson) elected to a five-year term commencing on January 1 following the election.
