Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Station Keeper to manage the upkeep of our facilities and mission-critical equipment. This role is essential to ensuring our building, grounds, and fire apparatus are maintained to the highest standards of safety and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities & Grounds: Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on Fire District buildings and grounds.
Apparatus & Equipment: Conduct routine maintenance and perform pump and apparatus checkouts on Fire District equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records for all Fire District equipment and apparatus.
Data Entry: Utilize computer databases to log activities and records.

Requirements & Qualifications

Licensing: Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License acceptable to the Fire District’s insurance carrier.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (chest high), stand for extended periods, kneel, and climb ladders.
Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with building/equipment maintenance.
- Basic computer knowledge for data entry.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and interact professionally with the public.
